The project builds on the project "Trashy facade" designed by Jaroslava Karnoková, that was quite successful. She managed to change the thinking of a company in Bratislava that implement paintings called anti graffiti on the the facades. Therefore I decided during my project to focus on two other target groups that could influence these paintings.
I wanted to point on the issue of uncontrolled wild painting of facades in the general public as well as in city hall. With my project I wanted to appeal to a need for a regulation. The first step was to find an additional information on the issue, the legislation and potential regulatory treatment. I have identified a number of facts, I started to write reports and suggestions not only for the City Council and city authorities, but also on the Facebook page and the main architect of Bratislava. I received only a few responses from Petrzalka municipal office so far.
The second step was to address the public with the small "campaign" that should raise awareness about this issue about such non-professional painting. I also spread my visuals to activists' websites, particularly from the city of Bratislava (Bratislava beautification association, Movement against Beautification Society of Bratislava, Cyklokoalícia, Green Guard, etc.). I appealed to give comments, I wanted to raise discussion about this issue, and I got quite a good feedback, but unfortunalety more from the public then the city authorities.
