Priestor (engl. space) brings educational messages in the form of newspapers for future creators and admirers of architecture. The project is mainly aimed at children and young audience, but has the fresh qualities that are also significant for adults - parents or any non-professionals in the field of architecture.
The approach to architecture and its theory and history is based on stories and points to architecture as a discipline that deals with space. The final form of the graphic paper was created together by architects Oľga Miháliková and Martin Zaiček, illustrator Ivana Čobejová and graphic designer Ľubica Segečová. So far, the The Slovak Chamber of Architects has published 2 issues of the "newspapers" within 2 years.
SKA is a professional organization that focuses on educating and informing the public about the needs of quality architecture. In the form that is reminiscent of newspapers, comic books or coloring books, the reader finds theory of architecture for today's children (and parents and other potential consumers) explained in a playful way.
Ľubica Segečová cooperated with the SKA organisation on designing various projects - from yearbooks to visual identity of CE ZA AR, the annual price for best architecture. The Priestor project is an experimental outcome of this wider cooperation and provides the designers very generous space to show the message of good quality architecture. The illustrations are merging with texts and the graphic forms are often main carriers of the message without the lack of understandability.
