Feeling of the Day was a project that uses the popular form of infographics to theme social and political issues. Using irony and satire, it commented the current situation and mood in society.
It was created in 2016 and individual infographics were published in the online version of Denník N and on the Facebook page Feeling of the Day. Infographics have gradually grown into public space as a medium that can graphically capture the essence of the problem and increase the comprehensibility of the content.
Unlike written text, it shortens the time of information transfer to the reader, the graphic part facilitates the understanding of the whole.
The shift from a factual statement to a statement of opinion is the anchored nuance on which edge the Feeling of the Day balanced. By appropriating the factual form and cheerful-precise content (as we know from the genre of social cartoons), it created a tension that made this format attractive to the reader.
In the several months of its existence, the project has built a stable base of readers with a high degree of interaction on social networks.
