Project    Thanks for your understanding

We should be tolerant in public transport, we all experience the same discomfort

We live in fast times when everyone rushes, espetially in the publc transport. We often jump into buses and are mean to people that are faster then us in booking a place to stand or to sit. A lightest target are those who are powerless or people with some kind of barriere as a kids stroller or a luggage. The stress causes that we are so easily forgeting about others who have exactly the sae space problem in stuffed bus or tram.

The problem we are experiencing is experiencing a woman with the stroller or a student with turbo suitcase, too. And still it is so simple to say pardon, please, thank you or excuse me. To smile, maybe using one hand or two is even more simple. Therefore I decided to simulate such situation - an innocent student with backpack, travelling to train station to catch the train. I wanted to see how much patience will passengers have when they get in contact with him. I put a sign on the back side of his backpack with the wording: "I am also a passenger. Thank you for your understanding and patience. It should appeal to the passangers next to him and make them think about the tolerance and understanding.

Unfortunately at the time of the implementation the bus was not so full and therefore there was not much confrontation exept few people looking and reading the sign. However no exact emotion was visible on their faces, I am sure it made them think.

I like how Miriam tried to find a solution and make people think about the inolerance in a very direct way. But it is really important to think about the timing in the process of planning, becasue we need to catch the target audience as first. Otherwise all our effort can be wasted. I propose to make the project again in rush hour and test the feedbacks again.
