This short book/photo album was created during Design and Politics workshop with Cactus Network (Tony Credland and Glen Orton) at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
During the week long workshop each student should create a reaction to what do tabloids write and talk about. It was year 2013 and I think that was just about the time when the Mayan calendar end of the year prediction was supposed to happen.
Everyday some "guaranteed" information was in the media about it. So I had a quick look and after a bit of googling I found out how many ends of the world did I survive during my lifetime. Man did I feel invincible and immortalfor one quick moment?
The idea for this book was to show how was I still growing up and surviving these ends of the world without even a scratch. The images used around my own were things that might for each specific year be ends of the year for some people as their loved ones might have been killed, counties fell apart etc.
